see all reviewsHanna was a great instructor! She was great at cueing different movements, encouraging people to challenge themselves but also creating a safe space for them to take things at their own pace. I found her demoing the positions and how to mount the reformer for certain positions super helpful! Would definitely recommend her class and take it again.

Low intensity, studio has AC, and very clean. It’s paid street parking or paid lots, but was told it’s recommended to park in the lot with Vromans Bookstore.

see all reviewsThe Vibe: Focused. Traditional. Exploratory. The Class (Intermediate Iyengar Yoga with Yasmin): It was rather presumptuous of me to walk into an intermediate Iyengar class having never practiced Iyengar Yoga before. And still…I was welcomed with warmth and openness from Yasmin and the fellow students from the very beginning. Everyone gathered props: Bolster, strap, blanket, wooden block, and class began with three rounds of Om and an invocation chant honoring the lineage and practice itself. The intention quickly became clear: * Alignment. * Openness. * Breath. We began with stretches and twists while Yasmin guided attention toward precision within each asana. Sanskrit cues were woven throughout class, and many postures were demonstrated from the front platform. The Feel: Deeply focused & exploratory. Handstands and headstands were practiced at the wall, including one variation that completely covered the eyes with the elbows…something I had never experienced before. Ropes assisted reverse prayer in Pyramid Pose. Blocks supported backbends. Blankets created more stability and depth within stretches. The Studio: Spacious. Grounded. Traditional. The concrete floors made the blankets and props very appreciated. The room held a sense of discipline, concentration, and respect for the practice, while still welcoming curiosity and playfulness. Sum-Up: If it’s your very first Iyengar class, I probably wouldn’t recommend jumping straight into an intermediate level class like I did. That said, I found the experience delightful and left having explored entirely new shapes, sensations, and possibilities within my body.

see all reviewsI really enjoyed Mark’s class. It felt different from what most studios in LA offer, and that’s exactly what stood out to me. His Hatha yoga style, combined with his teacher training in India, made the experience feel very traditional and grounded. He was incredibly attentive throughout the class, taking the time to observe each person and guide them based on their individual experience level. I appreciated how he built on where each student was, rather than teaching in a one-size-fits-all way. It created a more personal and meaningful practice.
