The staff were polite, warm, and very friendly throughout my visit. I booked a Brazilian + underarms wax, and to my surprise, it was nowhere near as painful as my previous experiences at other places. Adel, the therapist, was incredibly skillful, gentle, and attentive, which made the whole session much more comfortable. It was fire cupping which was a first time for me (I normally do the suction one) and it was nice! She would check with me if certain movements are okay. It was a new experience for me, with the stretches while I have always gone with the Aromatherapy massage or the lymphatic detox massages at other Urban Retreat outlets. I would recommend a short briefing before the massage starts because the anticipation for the stretches makes you wonder what would come next, especially for first timers. As much as I've read the description, I couldn't really register what was going to happen. I'd say Urutan Malaysia is not what you go for if you're looking for relaxation. This is for you if you're looking to untie knots and release. Given that the outlet is by a busy road, I wouldn't recommend it if you want an environment that's properly silent. But that's why this place has character and it is accessible to release and relax in the city. They provide a pair of soft earplugs and that's perfect! The sky garden too is a nice place to relax, I would spend more time here if I could. Love the decor, and the space overall.
