I’ll be making it a part of my regimen because I feel like in one session we accomplished a lot and I would love to see where this journey takes me. I will share a detailed breakdown of my process in case this is your first time as well and you are curious what to expect. 1. Everyone’s favorite question is if it hurts. I wish it was shared more that pain tolerance is different from person to person. I am afraid of needles and was listening to the countless other people claim it doesn’t hurt but that was not my experience 😆 Before I scare you, it’s not anything you can’t handle, it’s minimal. It’s just that I don’t know why I was naive enough to believe I wouldn’t feel a needle going in multiple places on my body. 🤣 I felt the needle poke me for a second and the sting quickly disappeared. There were some places I didn’t notice the needle and there were others, like my swollen foot for example that were spicy, but Jennifer quickly adjusted the needles that I told her felt spicy and before you know it, I didn’t even feel anything happening in my body. I was simply chilling on the bed. She warned me that my swelling can make the insertion of the needle more painful or difficult, but again, nothing intolerable and if it ever was, she encouraged me to let her know which helped me feel comfortable. 2) Acupuncture is a part of the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine, so this is considered a medical treatment. Because it covers a wide variety of conditions, it’s best to know your reason for seeking the treatment so they can know what to focus on. It’s like an extensive doctor visit. Very detail oriented. The Client Intake Form is Front and Back, Approximately 6 Pages 📃 Get There Early To Give yourself plenty of time to fill it out before your appointment time so you’re not holding up the next person. (Speaking from learned experience, not judgment 😇) Some questions were things I’ve never answered before like traumatic experiences in my life and if I felt like I received enough affection in my life, that one cut deep, but I genuinely appreciate them asking because everything in our life is connected. Fun fact, even if you don’t reveal it, things you are dealing with can show up during your session. I never once mentioned my anxiety and Jennifer politely gave me ear seeds at the end of my session to help with that 🥹 Here I am thinking I’m coming in to get help sleeping, but the surface level problem is always more than what meets the eye. It’s like the leaves to a tree. Acupuncture is a beautiful way to get to the roots. I pray the recollection of my experience helps someone get the most out of their treatment. I went home feeling drowsy after my treatment so I would encourage keeping your day light after your session if possible. I noticeably feel different and slept peacefully last night. I don’t have any racing thoughts which is something I’ve grown accustomed to. My head feels clear, my nervous system feels extremely balanced and yes, this is all from one session.

She recommended ingredients to seek out and ingredients to avoid for my rosacea and acne. I had an increase in pre-breakouts for a couple of days following the appointment, but it’s been a week now and my skin looks noticeably smoother.
