I enjoyed this class! Challenging but I felt stronger after. Also went by quick, which I like. Apparently this instructor was subbing for the usual instructor for this class but it was fab. Not a heated class but no AC so it was definitely hot in there! Would opt for shorts/ something breezier.

I’ve been to Sui Yoga at least 4 times (including this class) and i always enjoy my time there. The ambience, the class structure, and the instructors are always nice. I like how the class starts out with some stretches, then it gets intense and it always ends with some breathing exercises and stretches as well. They change the lighting according to what part of the class we’re in so towards the end they always dim the lights or they completely shut off. You also get some red light as well. They always set the tone and energy for the room and class.

Jake is an amazing instructor - so welcoming and supportive! He gave really clear cues and made sure we kept coming back to the breath, which I’ve found some more fitness-focused yoga studios lack. Marin was great, such a good class! However, the second part of class should have been in the middle of the room, not by the exit, since we were given a choice to stay or go. As I was trying to clean up my mat and props to leave, a blonde lady (perhaps the owner) abruptly said to leave everything as is and just go, since I was “such a distraction.” Left a bad taste in my mouth and was not a nice way to end the class.
