see all reviewsI am in awe of this practice - Tai Chi is demanding, deeply grounding, and incredibly enriching. The more I practice, the more I discover its depth—and the more I want to return. There is a quiet power in the movement that you can feel, and sometimes you can feel the energy shift in a way that is almost indescribable. Everyone should experience this practice. Once to discover it. Then again to understand why you keep coming back.

see all reviewsThis class is absolutely great! I try to come every time I’m free but it often fills up early. Alex is great at explaining everything thoroughly while not breaking up the flow of the class. It is sooo relaxing but a gentle workout at the same time.

see all reviewsToday after class, I listened to so many stories—stories of how people found their way to Tai Chi. And it reminded me of something I really believe: the universe is always showing up for us. Not necessarily with what’s next, but with what is here to take care of us, to bring us back to ourselves. There is something beautiful about being held by community, by nature, by practice, and by something greater than ourselves. What I have found in Tai Chi is that you build strength from the inside out. You begin to reconnect with your body, your breath, your energy—and the more you practice, the more you begin to feel it. Sometimes Fred has us hold poses that feel impossible for five, ten minutes—I honestly don’t even know how long. It feels impossible. And then something shifts. You find the alignment. You find your breath. You stop fighting. You surrender. And suddenly, you’re not forcing anything. You feel like a tree. Your legs feel rooted. Your fingers pulse. Your body feels completely alive. And at the same time, you feel connected to everything around you. It’s magical. We forget how magical, powerful, energetic and creative we are. And somewhere in this practice, you begin to reconnect with that warrior within. Not the warrior who fights or pushes, but the one who knows how to move with strength and efficiency without unnecessary effort. Maybe that is one of the greatest lessons of all: sometimes strength isn’t about trying harder. Sometimes it’s about finding your alignment, breathing, surrendering, and allowing the next movement to come. And in that surrender, you discover not only how strong you are, but how held you are by this life.
