    Energy Healing Flow

Healing Energy flow was a combination of Kundalini yoga, Ayurvedic moves, tai chi and a faster-paced Vinyasa flow. It was more energetic and intermediate/advanced than I assumed from the description both on classpass and the studio website, just a heads up. I loved the drumming and chimes, and would love to see the class evolve to be even more focused on somatics and trauma release! That could be so special for the neighborhood. What a cool offering.

Really loved Ashley’s style! Towards the end, we did a foot isolate that was more of a stretch at the class’s request — it wasn’t really a workout, but I really liked that. It was a good balance because the rest of the class was devoted to core strengthening exercises. I wasn’t sure I wanted to give Befit another try after a very negative class with another instructor, but I would def come to other classes Ashley teaches.

This is my second time taking Marcy’s class and it did not disappoint. Last week, I went in with some hip issues and the sequences helped to relieve them. Today I went with lower back pain and although some sequences were a bit difficult for me to transition through (only due to MY personal restrictions) I felt an immediate difference when standing up. Marcy also provided alternatives for limb placement to better ease through the transitions. Walking to the train and sitting on the way home wasn’t as painful and I felt more relief and mobility. If I could attend every week I would, but my schedule doesn’t allow me to. However, any opportunity I could get to practice under Marcy’s guidance and experienced eye, I will jump on it. Highly recommended. Very knowledgeable and down to earth person. The studio space is also very serene like an oasis away from this crazy world, I fell asleep several times and think I may have snored. !!
