Shannan is a really special teacher and I’m always inspired after her classes. She’s really the best. Also Grace yoga is the nicest yoga studio in Sonoma county. I love the diversity of people that practice here. The quality of instruction and selection of classes are what keep me coming back

    Yoga for Beginners

I’ve been to this class twice now and it’s awesome. Kate is nice, encouraging, and very gentle. This class is taught more like a workshop than a traditional vinyasa flow class (Kate’s words). We use props a lot and spend lots of time diving deeply into a couple poses. It’s great, I’m going back next week.

    Candlelit Restorative Yoga

Was quite nice!! I expected a bit more active poses for the Revitalizing Yoga w/candles session (I forget its exact name), but honestly it was good with just 4, relaxing poses. This class gave me the space to think; I believe that typically it might be “meant” to usually done w/this in mind: allowing yourself to have no thoughts.. but tbh I haven’t had time to think recently so it was nice to take the time to do so while in comfy yoga poses

    Yoga for Longevity

It was a real treat attending the class. Deb was warm, welcoming and supportive with gentle encouragement and thoughtful praise. The studio, and the other guests, had a wonderful energy. I also really enjoyed the practice - it was slow yet challenging - perfect for me as someone revisiting her fitness journey looking for diverse ways to move.

    Foundational Flow

I’m new to yoga and Katie was very open and understanding to that. She made it clear that I only needed to do what was comfortable to me, which took the pressure off of trying to do what everyone else was doing. I have shoulder surgery coming up, but once I’ve healed, I am definitely going back to Soma Yoga.

Truly sooo lovely. As a yoga instructor myself I can really tell that Anna knows exactly what she is doing. She creates a welcoming and fun atmosphere while also pushing students to their comfortability. Songs were great and the whole class just felt so fluid and perfect!! One of the best yoga classes I’ve been in<3

    Level 1

I enjoyed my first class here! Tejal was very kind and explained the movements so well that even a yoga noob like me could pick up quickly. She also offered 1:1 guidance and corrections, which I really appreciated. I can definitely see how Iyengar yoga helps correct posture, especially for those of us who sit for long hours at work. Just a heads-up: based on my experience in the Level 1 class, it’s not so intense; it’s more about mastering each movement individually. If you're looking for a constant, high-energy flow, this might not be the right fit.

    Salsa Dancing

With no previous experience, it was quite difficult to keep up with the class. This was labeled as a beginner friendly class, however it was actually an intermediate / advanced class. The environment and community were extremely friendly and welcoming! The -1 star would be because we received more instruction from other members than the instructors themselves. Overall, it was still an enjoyable fun class!
